Paul Stayback
Founder of Gun Guy Counseling Project/ Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health & Behavioral Therapist
I'm glad you're here. It takes great courage to realize there is an issue and ask for help. This is the first step to improving you and/or your child's life. Whether you or your child have faced trauma, are experiencing life transitions, anxiety/depression, behavioral issues or need help with relationships and life's pressures, I'm here for you and your family.

The foundation of my practice starts with providing judgment-free mental health treatment for men and adolescent/teen boys, offering a safe space to navigate life's complexities and challenges. I understand firsthand that life isn't always fair or easy, and I want you to know that you don't have to face it alone. I believe mental health support should be available for every man, and I'm here to provide that. Whether you're navigating the trials and tribulations of adolescence or adulthood, we all deserve to feel safe, happy, and, most importantly, heard. I have an unwavering commitment to removing barriers for those concerned about the stigmas that come along with mental health. I want you to know that with the right support, positive change is not just possible, but within your reach.

Additionally, I offer a unique approach for those in demanding roles like First responders, LEOs, Gun owners, public figures, or those whose backgrounds can be scrutinized by the public. I work within the law to provide the best mental health support possible, ensuring your privacy and rights are respected without compromising your livelihood.

Adult Males

Remember, it takes real courage to seek help. By prioritizing your mental health and seeking treatment, you're showing strength and bravery. For too long, men have been expected to handle their emotions and mental struggles alone. But that's not the reality anymore.

Whether you're a first responder, in law enforcement, military, a pilot, have security clearances, live a public life, are part of the 2A community, or are a guy just trying to get by, take control of your mental health. Reach out to me for a therapy experience free of anxiety and judgment. Let's work together to overcome the issues holding you back from living your best life.
Teen/Young Adult Males

It is hard to be a kid today. Whether it is learning or emotional challenges, navigating through the process of "growing up" is difficult. We all have an innate need to succeed and fit in while growing into our independence, shaping our thoughts and goals for the future. With depression, anxiety, and suicide all on the rise and kids facing behavior and learning challenges, getting your child the help they need is crucial.

It is crucial to support our kids, ensuring they become happy, mentally healthy, functioning adults. I offer therapy for adolescent and teen males needing help with mental and/or behavioral therapy. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy to reach kids' independent goals, including increasing self-esteem, healing from trauma/depression/anxiety, learning communication and emotional skills, and creating coping and life skill playbooks to drive quality of life and strength in oneself.
